贵州省安顺市镇宁县人，毕业于重庆建筑工程学院，华为技术有限公司创始人。
2018年入选中央统战部、全国工商联《改革开放40年百名杰出民营企业家名单》，同时也是2019年度中国经济新闻人物，2019年入选《福布斯》杂志“年度商业人物之跨国经营商业领袖”名单。
曾入选《时代》全球一百位最具影响力人物，改革开放40年百名杰出民营企业家，中国最具影响力的50位商界领袖，亚洲百大商业人物等荣誉榜单。
1991年9月，华为租下了深圳宝安县蚝业村工业大厦三楼作为研制程控交换机的场所，五十多名年轻员工跟随任正非来到这栋破旧的厂房中，开始了他们充满艰险和未知的创业之路，他们把整层楼分隔为单板、电源、总测、准备四个工段，外加库房和厨房。人们在机器的高温下挥汗如雨夜以继日地作业，设计制作电路板、话务台、焊接的电路板，编写软件，调试、修改、再调试。在这样的情况下，任正非几乎每天都到现场检查生产及开发进度，开会研究面临的困难，分工协调解决各式各样的问题。遇到吃饭时间，任正非和公司领导就在大排档同大家聚餐……

Henan Hengjiu Printing Materials Co., Ltd. was established in August 2016. The company is located in Xindian Township, Nanyang City, an urban-rural integration demonstration zone. At the end of 2020, a new CTP rapid production line was built in the Dongtuo Industrial Cluster Zone, Jian'an District, Xuchang City (Xuchang Hengyue Printing Materials Co., Ltd.). The company produces and sells ordinary PS plates for printing, UV-CTP plates and UV double-coated plates, thermal-CTP and thermal double-coated-CTP plates.
